Using lye and vegetable oils, animal fats or both, we have created various sized bars of literally just plain soap. This soap maintains all of its original properties, including glycerin which is removed from commercial soap. Please indicate your preference of components below.
This soap is perfect for using in your family's own soap creations: laundry soap, shampoos, body washes, hand-soap, etc. through a variety of methods including melt and pour and re-batching. It can also be used as a stand-alone cleaning bar.
Can be used in the Montessori or other classrooms for the children's wash-work or a soap-making activity.
Included by option is a booklet on ways to use this soap - just the basics though - to get anyone started. Please see Soap-making Discussion for a forum to share ideas. There is also a great selection of books and other resources available elsewhere for more detailed soap-making. We will have some available here in the near future.
Bulk Soap is in varying sizes that will weigh at your order total, individually wrapped in wax paper. This is perfect for the families who will be melting down the soap in large batches.
Individual Bar Soap will come in 4.0-5.5 ounce bars, individually wrapped and labeled. This packaging is best for families who wish to use the individual bars as they are, or would like each person to create their own individualized bar of soap. *Each bar will be the same weight.*

YOU add the rest - whatever you like!
If you would like a specific oil or fat to be used, please indicate in the box below. It will override anything marked in the radio boxes. DO NOT TYPE INTO THE BOX IF YOU HAVE NO SPECIFIC PREFERENCE - the system will read it as a specific preference and charge you an additional 25 cents per ounce.

Shipping: More than 10 pounds will fit in a medium flat rate box; even more in a large flat rate box, with room to spare.
